Vision and Values

Our School Vision

Our vision is to enable all children to become lifelong learners with the skills and mindset to thrive and then take on the world.  As a community we work in partnership to create a safe and inclusive environment that nurtures individuality and enhances potential.

We encourage an enthusiastic, creative community of learners prepared to continue their intellectual, emotional and physical development and become active members of the wider community and society.

Our Core School Values

  • Curiosity
  • Resilience
  • Individuality
  • Compassion
  • Responsibility
  • Growth

Values are principles that guide the decisions we make and the behaviours we exhibit.  We encourage our children to have a strong moral code that will empower them to be lifelong learners and global citizens.

In our assemblies, we address current topics as well as recognise some of the international days and weeks observed by the United Nations.  We explicitly promote awareness of issues that are related to children and society.  We regularly reference the British Values of:

  • Democracy
  • The Rule of Law
  • Individual Liberty
  • Mutual Respect
  • Tolerance and acceptance of those of different faiths and beliefs

We are very proud of our culturally diverse school community so we ensure we recognise and celebrate religious festivals; including Diwali, Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Chinese New Year, Wianki and Eid.  In response to requests from our families we have established a multi-faith prayer room that can be accessed by children and staff throughout the school day.

In our celebration assemblies we celebrate the successes our children have achieved both in school and outside in the community.  Here are some of the topics we have as part of our assemblies
