Staff Support

The SEMHW team provides additional support to school staff. At South Bank Primary, it is important that everyone is given the right to emotional and practical support as we believe, healthy and happy staff are best able to help and support our children.

Support is available for staff both in personal and professional terms. All staff can access support from the team at any time whether this is ad hoc or regular sessions depending on the individuals needs and wishes. This support will not replace other support in place but add and enhance it.

Professional development is both available and provided to all staff as per individual needs. In addition to this, the staff are provided phase supervision every half term delivered by the mental health nurse within the team.

Focused Mental Health training can be delivered as requested too to all staff.

Members of the team will provide advice, consultation, education, support and training across the whole school team including admin, lunchtime and kitchen staff.
