Maths

We have made a busy start to maths this term. In arithmetic, we are focussing on counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. We will be finding out about fractions, then position and direction. We will counting and using numbers up to 100 then moving onto finding out about money and time. We will also be consolidating adding and subtracting within 50 moving on to doing this in numbers to 10.

Please find these useful games to support your child development in Maths.

Writing

This term will we be consolidating the the grammar and punctuation we have been looking at throughout the year in our writing. We will be studying different genres, using Grammarsaurus to inspire us in our writing of narratives, persuasive adverts, Non-chronological report and instructions. We will continue to broaden our vocabulary in order to make our writing more interesting.

Science

This term we will be studying common animals. We will identify and name fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. We will investigate if these animals are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and what their different habitats are.
