Parents & Carers

Parent/Carer Family support

We understand that mental health issues can affect anyone and everyone at some point in their lives. If you, or someone you know, is struggling with poor mental health or emotional wellbeing, we are here to help in any way that we can.

The SEMHW team can provide support in relation to your child’s emotional and mental health concerns including growth and development, family, friendship or other life events. The team can also provide support to parents/carers and families who are struggling with their own emotional health and wellbeing needs. This is not instead of other health providers but alongside them. Any support that is provided by the team is confidential and person centred

The support the team offers can be:

  • ad hoc
  • regular
  • as required
  • or on a requested basis

At South Bank Primary we believe in helping, supporting, working open and honestly with parents/carers and families as we recognise this benefits our children.

The team also provide support through weekly groups, informal and regular coffee mornings and other school activities and opportunities.

The team are available on the playground at the beginning and end of every school day or can be contacted by ringing the school office on 01642 453451 and ask to speak to Mrs Clarke or Nick.
