About us...

We are a very special class where we all learn to be individuals but also how to work together as a team.  We work hard to overcome all the things that we find difficult and we support each other to develop our confidence, resilience and determination!

We love learning new things and we enjoy the practical side of learning, especially when we can do this in lots of different ways.  We enjoy learning and working together, even though we are all at different stages in our learning. We help and support each other and that helps us all grow together.

Learning in different ways...

Building on learning:

In our class, we continue to develop our skills in all areas including learning and behaviour to ensure that we are able to develop our learning, skills and knowledge so that we are successful in this stage of learning as well as preparing us for when we are ready to move on.

We continue to work on developing our speaking and listening skills so that as we progress through school, we can use our skills to build relationships, deepen our understanding and to develop our ability to discuss a range of topics, showing appropriate speaking and listening skills, particularly in conversations with others.

Another area we work hard in is in getting ready to access learning in mainstream with our friends.  Sometimes this is scary but we help each other to face our fears and celebrate our achievements together.  This in turn helps us when we transition to secondary school as often we have to learn new skills, make new friendships and develop our independence further.

Important information

Children access PE with their year group. Please make sure your child wears appropriate PE kit eg. Shorts / tracksuit bottoms, t-shirt, trainers

PE is on Monday.

We also have Kidz Konnekt each week.  Childrenjoin their mainstream peers for their outdoor learning.  For this session they need old clothes, trainers / wellies (if the weather is bad!).
